2.30pm - The Recruiting Officer by George Farquhar - Oxford Playhouse. A comedy of errors with double-crossing and cross-dressing.

5.00pm - THURSDAY "PhotoShop II" - Physical Chemistry Building, Oxford Photographic Soc.

7.00pm - We Are Wolves, Hot City Symphony, Dial F For Frankenstein - O2 Academy - £5. Canadian three-piece dish out the post-punk-rock.

7.30pm - Never Have I Ever by Helen McCabe - BT - Part of the New Writing Festival £5/£4

7.45pm - Poetry Reading with Ruth Padel - Shortlisted poet - Doctorow Lecture Theatre, Teddy Hall - Free to members of OU Poetry Society, £3 otherwise, fee includes glass of wine.

8.15pm - Juliet Kelly Band - The Wheatsheaf - £9 (£7 discounts). The Oxford Jazz Club presents one of the finest female UK singers.

9pm - Sparky's Flying Circus - The Half Moon - FREE. Weekly open music, comedy and song sessions.

9.30pm The Waiting Room by Ross Cole - BT - Part of the New Writing Festival. £5/£4
