Daily Dose - Friday 4th Week

Sorry this is late. There's no excuse not to go to one of these things this evening. It's Friday and the snow is no more than a distant and unhappy memory - I hope, i think there was a whiff of it yesterday.

7.30pm - Philadelphia Story by Philip Barry - OFS - A comedy about remarriage - £9/£7

7.30pm - Black Comedy by Brindsley Miller - BT - Hilarious scrapes in a dark flat with fiancees, in-laws, millionaires etc. What fun.

7.30pm - The Entertainer by John Osborn - O'Reilly - A darkly comic play, centered around the decline of the music hall tradition. - £7/£6

8pm - Electralyte, Turnpike Glow, White Sunday, Invisible Vegas at the Jericho Tavern. Apparently a very English 4-piece with a modern edge. Look at those names! Don't they just scream MENTLISM at you? £5

9pm - Soothsayers at the Cellar. Everything from Afrojazz to Balkan Beats. Don't know quite what this means but will probably be 'cool'. £6

9.30pm - Squirrels by David Mamet - BT - "Art is not art? Then what is art? Think about it. I've got to pee." This will be brilliant, go see it - £5/£4.

ALSO sign up for LAURENCE WOLFF'S DRAWING WORKSHOP and the postcARTe competition. There is a talk in 6th week by the massive media monarch NICK ELLIOTT too. FB group will appear for that shortly.
